about our weekend staycation

Sometimes when you need a vacation but don't have time or money to go away, a "staycation" works just as well. 

We claimed this past Friday and Saturday as staycation days, and we then took full advantage of our empty schedule.

We slept in and stayed in our pajamas.

We lounged around on the couch playing games on our tablets.

We went on a date to PF Changs (we changed out of our pajamas for this) and spent some budgeted Vinylmation money.

We watched movies including the next three Disney Animated Classics on our list (we are about halfway through now). 

And we basically ignored social media for two days. No blogging. No tweets. No Instagram.

It was so, so nice.

It had been awhile since we had a date night.

I'm glad we got in a lot of rest when we did. I realized yesterday that every Saturday after this one until May 25th has something scheduled.

Oops. Good thing we take Fridays off too.
